Jason Marks, CEO, CIO & Managing Partner
Jason oversees firm and individual portfolios at GMPIM, including overall allocation strategy and risk management.Prior to GMPIM, he was a Vice Chair at TD Securities and a Senior Vice President at TD Bank. Over his 11 years at TD Securities, Jason was responsible for various businesses including: international proprietary trading, equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, energy trading and structured products. In addition to his various sales and trading responsibilities, he was a Senior Vice President of TD Bank. In that capacity, Jason held two senior risk management roles. First, in 1998, he served as the Head of Market Risk Management for TD Bank then, in 2003, as the Chief Credit Policy Officer responsible for overseeing Credit Risk at TD Bank.
Prior to being employed at TD Bank, he was a Vice President at Citibank Canada. In that capacity, Jason was responsible for a number of derivative and structured product businesses. He has a M.B.A. from Harvard University (1989) and a B.E.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario (1986).

Kevin Barnes, President and Managing Partner
Prior to joining GMPIM, Kevin was a Managing Director at CIBC World Markets in the Equity and Commodity Structured Products group. At CIBC World Markets, he helped build and distribute over $3.5 billion of structured products to high-net-worth investors in Canada. Prior to joining CIBC World Markets, Kevin was responsible for the Ontario Wood Gundy business for CIBC. Before joining CIBC in 2002, he was the National Sales Manager at Merrill Lynch Canada.
Kevin has over 17 years of experience in distribution and creation of retail investment products. He has a Bachelor of Arts, Economics degree from Queen’s University (1990). Kevin holds the CIM designation and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

Royden Richardson, Vice Chairman
In addition to managing GMPIM’s Rainy Day Fund, Royden provides oversight on the firm’s strategic direction. He began his career in Winnipeg as a financial analyst in 1977. In 1982, Royden joined the operating committee of Richardson Greenshields before becoming Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing in 1986. After moving to Toronto in 1987, he assumed a senior role within the firm’s investment banking division and became Vice Chairman of Richardson Greenshields in 1995. Royden was elected to the board of James Richardson & Sons, Limited in 2005 and has also served on other private and public company boards. He was a member of the investment committee of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario for 10 years and is currently the Chairman and trustee of the James Richardson & Sons, Limited Pension Plan, a position he has held since 1999.

Greg Foss, Managing Partner
Greg manages GMPIM’s Credit and High-Yield Trading portfolio. Prior to joining GMPIM, he was a Vice President and Partner at Marret Asset Management. During his five years at Marret, Greg was the head trader and co-portfolio manager of several credit focused funds that totalled over $1.5 billion in assets.
Prior to Marret Asset Management, Greg was a Vice President & Director at TD Securities where he was responsible for a trading book of approximately $300 million in Canadian high-yield credits. He was involved in a number of Canada’s benchmark transactions including those for Telus Corporation and Rogers Communications. Greg has over 20 years of experience in pricing and trading credit risk, and has been published in the Financial Analysts Journal and The Journal of Commercial Lending on the subject of pricing credit risk. He has an M.B.A. from the Johnson School of Business, Cornell University (1988) and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University (1985).

Paul Liebovitz, Managing Partner
Paul manages workouts and restructurings within GMPIM’s Credit portfolio. Prior to joining GMPIM, Paul was a Managing Director at TD Capital, a division of TD Bank, where he was a member of the Mezzanine Fund Investment Committee overseeing in excess of $1 billion in investments. In addition, he was responsible for sourcing, structuring, executing and monitoring mezzanine debt and preferred share investments and equity co-investments.
Paul has in excess of 20 years experience in lending and private equity. Prior to joining TD Capital, he was a Senior Vice President, Underwriting for GE Capital – Capital Funding for four years. In this position, he oversaw the execution of highly structured mezzanine and leveraged financing transactions in both Canada and the United States. Prior to joining GE Capital, Paul spent nine years at Scotia Capital specializing in complex corporate restructurings that included senior and mezzanine debt and equity positions. He has an M.B.A. from McMaster University (1989) and a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Toronto (1986).

Kirk Cooper, Managing Partner
Prior to joining GMPIM, Kirk researched, developed and implemented a proprietary algorithmic trading strategy that he successfully managed over an 18-month period. Prior to that, he was a Director and Vice President of Deutsche Bank AG, in Toronto in the Canadian equity proprietary trading operation, where he co-managed $1.2 billion in assets. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Kirk was a Vice President and Co-Head of Citibank Canada’s Canadian equity derivatives business. In this position, he was responsible for the overall trading and positioning of one of the largest equity derivatives books in Canada.
Kirk has 20 years of experience in financial analysis, equity research, portfolio management and equity derivative trading. He has a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo (1993), a Masters degree in Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (2005) with a focus on behavioural finance, market psychology, and risk management and received his CFA designation in 1996.

Daniel McClure, Managing Partner
Daniel co-manages GMPIM’s Equity portfolio. Prior to joining GMPIM, he held the position of Vice-President, Portfolio Manager and Research Director at Investors Group. In this position, Daniel was responsible for the management of approximately $1.7 billion in assets over several funds, which included co-management responsibilities for Investors Canadian Growth Fund (winner of a 2010 Lipper award). He was also a member of the Management Committee of I.G. Investment Management. As Research Director, Daniel was responsible for the leadership and management of ten investment professionals and the development and implementation of the firm’s equity research process.
Prior to joining Investors Group, Daniel was an Assistant Vice President of Equities at Sceptre Investment Counsel and was an investment banker at both Morgan Stanley and Scotia Capital. He has in excess of 13 years of capital markets experience. Daniel has an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business (1997) and a B.Sc. Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) from Queen’s University (1991).

Keith McLean, Managing Partner
Keith co-manages GMPIM’s Equity portfolio. Prior to joining GMPIM, he held the position of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Investors Group. In this position, Keith was responsible for the management of approximately $1.8 billion in assets across three public mutual funds: Investors Summa SRI Fund, Investors Canadian Growth Fund (winner of a 2010 Lipper award) and Investors US Growth Fund. Previously, he managed the following funds; Investors North American Equity Fund, Investors Global Science and Technology Fund and the Investors Global Infrastructure Fund. Prior to joining Investors Group, Keith was an Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager at McLean Budden Limited and an Equity Investment Analyst & Portfolio Manager at New Brunswick Investment Management Corporation.
Keith has 15 years of portfolio management experience. He has a M.B.A. from Dalhousie University (1993), a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario (1991) and received his CFA designation in 1996.

Nicholas A.C. Mumford, Managing Partner
Nick is responsible for risk management at the firm. Prior to joining GMPIM, Nick was an Executive Managing Director at Centerline Capital, responsible for Centerline Financial, a
AAA-rated derivatives product company. he was one of the founders of the credit derivatives market and has extensive experience in all credit derivative products and securitized products. Prior to Centerline Capital, he managed a $10 billion portfolio of credit and securitized products for Natixis Bank.
Nick has an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and is a holder of the CFA Charter.
